Discover the Power of RTK with the DW-10

In the world of drone surveying and industrial inspections, precision is not a luxury, it is a necessity. While standard GPS systems can have positioning offsets of several meters, RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) elevates your drone operations to centimeter-level accuracy.

With the high-performance multi-band RTK module (from Swiss) integrated into our DW-10 drone, you collect reliable geospatial data, execute complex measurements, and drastically boost efficiency on-site.

What is RTK and How Does It Work?

Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) is an advanced satellite positioning technique. Standard GNSS/GPS receivers receive signals from satellites but experience signal delays and distortion caused by the atmosphere, resulting in positioning errors of 1 to 3 meters.

RTK solves this by utilizing a second signal source, an RTK base station or a regional NTRIP network. This network calculates atmospheric distortions in real time and transmits continuous correction data to the RTK module on the drone.

The result? Live positioning with an accuracy of 1 centimeter + 1 ppm, an ultra-fast convergence time under 12 seconds, and concurrent tracking of all major satellite constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou).

The Benefits of RTK for Surveying & Inspections

Flying survey and inspection missions with RTK provides immediate gains in time, safety, and data quality:

  • Drastic Reduction of Ground Control Points (GCPs)

In traditional photogrammetry, you must manually place and survey dozens of ground control points in the field using a GPS rod. With the DW-10 RTK, all aerial photos are geotagged in real time with precise centimeter coordinates, saving hours of field preparation time.

  • Razor-Sharp 3D Models and Volume Measurements

Whether performing earthwork calculations, generating orthomosaics, or creating digital terrain models (DTM/DSM), constant centimeter accuracy ensures photogrammetric models fit together seamlessly without distortion.

  • 100% Repeatable Inspection Routes

For recurring inspections of infrastructure, bridges, wind turbines, or solar farms, exact flight path replication is essential. Thanks to RTK, the DW-10 navigates so precisely that photos taken months or years apart capture the exact same perspective in mid-air, making trend analysis and damage tracking highly reliable.

  • Maximum Reliability and Signal Robustness

Our multi-band technology receives signals concurrently across multiple frequency bands and satellite networks. This guarantees a stable position fix even in demanding environments, such as near high-rise buildings or heavy industrial structures.
